Information Opportunity for Older Adults, Baby Boomers

The Older Adult population in Chesterfield and West St. Louis County has grown dramatically in recent years. So too, has the need for information and education.  That’s why seminars and opportunities to interact with experts and resources on topics relating to seniors are a big part of the West Newsmagazine Better Living EXPO, Oct. 13, 2013 at the Chesterfield Doubletree Hotel by Hilton. Admission is Free. The EXPO hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The EXPO features more than 20 activities for Baby Boomers, Older Adults and the entire family.  Activities of special interest to Older Adults include: ·        Senior Resource Center sponsored by the City of Chesterfield Older Adult Task Force. ·        “Live to Dance” health/wellness motivational seminar with author Ellen Abramson. ·        “Grandma Is Off Her Rocker” seminar with Bonnie Solomon, one of the area’s leading experts on aging and lifestyle. ·        Understanding Medicare Part D Changes” seminar by Walgreens. ·        “Eat to Stay Young”, a seminar about diet and nutrition with dietician by St. Luke’s Hospital. ·        BINGO ·        Trotter Photography “Generations” photo booth. ·        Free electronics recycling courtesy of RNA Worldwide. ·        Mobility van for senior and wheelchair transportation. ·        Health screenings. ·        Door prizes and drawings.
