Water Damage vs Fire Damage

Last week there was a fire in a local high-rise apartment building.  One news report headline stated, "…a small fire broke out…". It went on to elaborate about the “flood” caused by the fire sprinkler system. Remember ALL fires start small. It is the sprinkler system that kept the fire from becoming a big, life-threatening, building- & contents-destroying fire. We should be grateful this is only a water damage problem and not a destroyed life and building problem. Everything can dry out.  Nothing can un-burn.
