A Shoplifter's Dozen: Thieves Hit the Mall and Chesterfield Commons

A recent Chesterfield Police report lists twelve incidents of shoplifting around the Chesterfield area.

 

It looks like the prices at just aren’t cheap enough for some people. Shoplifters hit Walmart on THF Boulevard on five different occasions between June 26 and July 7. None of these criminals were teens on a lark, but people ranging in age from 23 to 48 years old. One woman took jewelry, another lifted electronics and two other women took what police described as “undisclosed merchandise under $500.” The lone male crook in this spree was fairly bold. He placed a TV, valued under $500, in a cart and just tried to walk out of the store with it.

Mean while, on THF Boulevard only reported one incident of shoplifting. On June 26 an unknown subject concealed electronics and makeup and left the store without paying.

On July 10, unknown subjects concealed iPhone accessories and left store without paying at on THF Boulevard

tried to keep the shoplifters out. On July 3 a 22-year-old man was accused of trespassing and on June 28 a 72-year-old man was also accused of trespassing. According to the police report, both men had been banned from the mall due to previous thefts.

The mall couldn’t keep out all the shoplifters. On July 6 two female teens concealed clothing and left without paying, and on July 1 a 25-year-old female concealed clothing at attempted to leave Old Navy without paying.

was also hit twice by fashionable shoplifters, both on July 9. A 42-year-old man and a 19-year-old female, on two separate occasions, concealed clothing and left store without paying.
