Accident on Ladue Road Knocks Down Utility Pole

A single-vehicle collision this morning in Chesterfield brought down power lines, but did not cause any major outages.

A single vehicle struck a utility pole and knocked it down this morning around 7:20 on Ladue Road just west of Route 141 in Chesterfield.

Chesterfield Police responded to the scene and reported that there were no injuries. The wires that were downed as a result of the accident presented no danger to the public and were quickly cleared by the utility company, according to police. 

The incident caused a loss of power for one home in the area, police said, but no major outages were reported.

The accident caught the attention of several Patch readers out on the road this morning, one of whom took a photo of the smashed pole and downed wires.
