Airplane Makes Emergency Landing at Spirit of St. Louis Airport

The pilot of the Southwest flight decided to land there due to the weather conditions. No one was injured.

A Boeing 737 with 130 passengers made an emergency landing at the Spirit of St. Louis Airport in Chesterfield Sunday evening, KSDK reports.

The flight from Southwest Airlines was traveling from Denver to St. Louis and was expected to arrive at Lambert International Airport at approximately 7 p.m..

The pilots of the flight decided to land at Spirit of St. Louis after circling in the air for a while.

No passengers aboard the plane were injured nor were any other flights forced to land due to weather conditions. Passengers were transported by bus from Spirit of St. Louis to Lambert, according to KSDK.

Virginia McDowell, a passenger in the airplane, posted several twitter updates on her account.

β€œKudos to a Southwest team who made the best of a bad situation. It's why they are the best in the business,” she tweeted.
