Burglar Busts Window of Chesterfield Home, Snatches Purse

Police are searching for a suspect in the smash-and-grab theft from a Chesterfield home April 9.

A brazen burglar snatched a purse from a Chesterfield residence last week while the victim was still at home.

The theft occurred April 9 at around 7:20 p.m. when the owner of a house in the 900 block of Renaldo Dr. heard the sound of glass breaking in their kitchen, police said.

The victim rushed to the room to find that the had burglary reached in through a shattered window, grabbed a purse that was hanging on a chair and then ran away, police said.

The case remains under active investigation, but Police did not say there were any immediate suspects.
