Burglar Forces Open Front Door of Chesterfield Home

The burglary occurred July 11 in the Royal Wood subdivision.

Chesterfield Police are investigating an early morning burglary after an unknown individual busted in the front door of a home in the Royal Wood subdivision on July 11. 

Police said the burglar broke into a home in the 1500 block of Woodroyal East Drive sometime between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m. The victim of the burglary was already at work when the crime occurred. 

The individual entered by bashing open the front door and, once inside, grabbed some jewelry. No other items were reported stolen. 

No charges have been filed, but police said their investigation remains ongoing.
