Burglars Break into Two Chesterfield Homes, Take Jewelry

Police said in each incident an unknown suspect gained entry by forcing a rear door. There is no initial indication that the two thefts are related.

Two Chesterfield homes were broken into last week and were pilfered for jewelry and, in one case, alcohol by the intruders.

The first incident occurred in the 1300 block of Countryside Manor Place on Jan. 22. According to police, the suspect forced open a rear door using unknown means while the home’s owners were out for the evening. The suspect then proceeded to take rings, earrings, necklaces and a bottle of vodka.

In a separate incident on Jan. 16, another unknown suspect forced the rear door at a home in the 16000 block of Clarkson Woods Drive, also taking several items of jewelry from the residence.
