Chesterfield Couple Tied Up, Robbed in Their Home

The armed burglary occurred Monday night at a residence on Old Belle Monte Road and was this week's most talked about story.

The burglary of a Chesterfield residence Monday night that turned into an armed robbery has police still searching for the suspect in the brazen crime. 

The incident occurred when a Chesterfield couple returned to thier home on Old Belle Monte Road early Monday evening to find a burglar in their house. He confronted the couple with what police described as an unknown type edged weapon, tied them up, stole money and jewelry, and then took off in their car.

The vehicle was recovered the next morning but police are still searching for the subject. Fox2 also interviewed neighbors, who said they were shaken by the audacious nature of the thief and planned on purchasing security systems.
