Copper Rolls Taken From Maintenance Building in Burglary at Parkway Central

Police said the theft occurred overnight Feb. 1-2 and that the doors to the building had been left open.

The Chesterfield Police are investigating a burglary at Parkway Central High School that resulted in the theft of four rolls of copper.

The incident occurred overnight on Feb. 1-2, according to police records. Chesterfield Police Officer Michael Ryffel said the doors to a maintenance building behind the high school had been left open.

Ryffel did not have any details on the estimated value of the copper taken, but said the metal is often a target for thieves because it has a high resale value.
