Cops Close Off Chesterfield Gas Station

Officers blocked off access to the Shell gas station on Olive Boulevard near Highway 40 for a brief period late this morning.

Update: Patch has now learned that an attempted armed robbery occurred at the gas station earlier this morning.

Chesterfield police cars closed off the entrance to a Shell gas station on Olive Boulevard late this morning but officers on the scene would not disclose why.

The cruisers could be seen at around 11:30 a.m. and were not letting any vehicles into the gas station. Officers could also be seen talking to several citizens, possibly employees, in the business' parking lot.

The blockade of the Shell station ended by around 11:50. A spokesman with the Chesterfield Police will be contacting Patch to provide further details soon.

An employee of the gas station declined to comment, citing company policy. This story will be updated when the information becomes available.
