Cops Catch Man, 51, Stealing Dolls at Chesterfield Mall; Plus, Stolen Guns

Aug. 2
In the 2000 block of the Chesterfield Mall, police got a report of shoplifting from a retailer. A 51-year-old man concealed dolls and left store without paying.
Aug. 5
Someone attempted to rob the Shell station on Olive Boulevard with a firearm. Suspect left scene without any money. The robbery was foiled by another customer (see story).
Aug. 4
In the 1600 block of Chesterfield Grove Road, police arrested at 50-year-old man in possession of pipe used for smoking controlled substances.
In the 16000 block of Swingley Ridge Road, someone damaged a vehicle lock on victim's vehicle in an attempt to make entry.
In the 200 block of Santa Maria Drive, someone broke out a window on the victim's vehicle and took two purses, cell phone, and cash.
In the same block, the same date, someone broke out window on a victim's vehicle and took purse containing cellphone and credit cards.

In the 1700 block of North Outer 40 Road, a 40-year-old man shoplifted clothing fro a retail store.

Sometime between those dates, in the 14000 block of Markham Lane, someone took two older long barrel firearms from victim's garage.

Someone attempted to cut and remove a catalytic converter from vehicle.
