Feds Delay Sentencing On Guilty Sex Plea by Ex-High School Coach

Last year, Brent Woody entered a guilty plea on a count transporting a minor with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity.

A former Parkway Central High School girls basketball coach who was set to be sentenced Thursday on a federal count of transporting a minor with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity, will now wait until February to learn his fate.

Brent Woody issued a guilty plea in federal court October 2011. Sentencing was continued to February 24.

Authorities say Woody had a sexual relationship with a 15-year old female student.

Under federal sentencing guidelines, Woody could face 10 years-to-life in prison, fines up to $250,000 and lifetime supervision on release.

He remains charged in St. Louis County Court on 15 counts of statutory rape. According to Casenet, the next scheduled appearance in county court is set for January 27.
