Four minors were injured in a car accident over the weekend and one transported to the hospital after their vehicle struck a tree in a Chesterfield neighborhood.

The collision occurred near a portion of Country Ridge Drive between Parasol Drive and Silverwood lane, which Chesterfield Police blocked off for much of the morning on Feb. 2. Capt. Steven Lewis said the road was closed to allow police and medical emergency vehicles to respond to the accident, given the report of multiple injuries.

Lewis declined to release details on the identity of the individuals involved due to their age, but said the victim who was transported to the hospital was still at the facility as of Tuesday afternoon. The other three suffered only minor injuries.

Police do not believe there is anything of a “suspicious nature” regarding the cause of the accident.
