Girlfriend IDs Man Who Burglarized Cisco Office, Police Say

Chesterfield Police said the man's girlfriend worked for a company that cleaned the office building.

A Webster Groves man broke into a Chesterfield business and stole more than $8,000 in electronic equipment, police said. Chesterfield Police said the man's girlfriend helped identify him.

Christopher Michael Moore, 21, of the 800 block of Bell Avenue in Webster Groves, was charged Wednesday with second-degree burglary and felony theft.

Chesterfield Police said that between 11:15 p.m. July 17 and 12:47 a.m. July 18 , Moore entered Cisco Systems office at 16401 Swingley Ridge Road. Police said Moore stole an NEC projector, three iPad tablets, two video cameras, a Cius tablet computer and a Lenovo laptop computer.

Police said the break-in and thefts were captured on video surveillance. Moore was identified on the security video by his girlfriend, an employee of the cleaning company that cleans the offices, according to a court document.

Police said Moore confirmed he was  the person on the video, but he denied committing the theft.

Moore is being held in the St. Louis County Justice Center. Bail was set at $25,000.
