Lifeguards Help Save Young Boy at Chesterfield Pool

Quick action by a pair of teenage lifeguards helped save the life of a 3-year-old boy who nearly drowned at the Chesterfield Aquatic Center Saturday.

KMOX reported that two fellow swimmers spotted the boy at the bottom of the pool and yelled for lifeguards when they noticed he wasn't moving.

Two lifeguards, both teenagers, leaped into action. They retrieved the boy from the water and then performed CPR until EMTs with the Monarch Fire Protection District arrived, who continued the treating the boy as they transported him to Mercy Hospital.

He is expected to make a full recovery, according to the article.
