Man Charged With Four Chesterfield Business Break-Ins

Myron Whiters, of Brentwood, is serving a seven-year sentence for a Fenton burglary, and now faces additional charges.

A 51-year-old man is accused of burglarizing four Chesterfield businesses in 2012.

Myron Whiters, of the 1500 block of Banneker Avenue in Brentwood, was charged April 10 with three counts of second-degree burglary and misdemeanor theft. On Monday, Whiters was charged with an additional second-degree burglary and misdemeanor theft charge.

Chesterfield Police said Whiters broke into three suites at 16020 Swingley Ridge Road between 7:30 p.m. Aug. 21 and 8:30 a.m. Aug. 22. Police said he entered Prospect Infosys Inc., American Family Insurance and Solutions Counseling Associates. Whiters stole a laptop from Solutions Counseling, according to a police report.

Chesterfield Police said Whiters also broke into an office building at 16476 Wild Horse Creek Road on Jan. 10, 2012. Police said he stole two bottles of whiskey and a laptop computer from the building, which houses several businesses. According to a court document, investigators found his DNA in the building.

Whiters was sentenced Dec. 13 to seven years in prison after pleading guilty to a burglary and stealing laptops from Brown Mackie College in Fenton. St. Louis County Police said DNA from a blood sample at the scene matched Whiters. He broke a window to get into the building.

He is being held in the Eastern Reception Diagnostic and Correctional Center in Bonne Terre.
