Man Cited for Panhandling at Boone's Crossing Exit

Police said he returned to the same spot a day after receiving a warning for the activity.

A persistent panhandler ran afoul of Chesterfield Police last week for asking for money at the Boone’s Crossing exit on I-64 in Chesterfield Valley.

Police cited the 21-year-old male for soliciting without a permit after initially giving him a warning for the activity on July 20. He returned to the same spot the next day, prompting another visit from law enforcement.

A police report did not state whether the man was homeless but did include a mailing address. The amount of the fine levied for the violation will be set by a municipal judge.
