Monarch Fire Protection District Seeking Public Education Officer

The district is looking to hire a qualified individual to coordinate public education programs, community activities, in-service training and work with leaders in the community.

The Monarch Fire Protection District is currently seeking qualified applicants to fill the role of Public Education Officer.

The Public Education Officer under general supervision coordinates District public education programs, community activities, in-service training, provides media information as necessary; interacts with District residents, local officials, school officials, civic groups, sub-division trustees and business leaders.

Qualified candidates shall possess a strong background in fire prevention, emergency medical services, educational techniques, strong communication skills, and disaster preparedness. Qualified candidates must be energetic, self-motivated, confident, organized and able to adapt to a variety of environments. Salary commensurate with experience.

A current job description and application can be picked up at the Monarch Fire Protection District Headquarters on 13725 Olive Blvd., Monday-Friday between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

The application process will open on Jan. 7 and will close at 4:30 p.m. Jan. 18. The Monarch Fire Protection District is an equal opportunity employer.
