Jennifer Rubin, 16, has organized the Rockin' 4 Relief fundraiser to benefit the St. Louis Backstoppers for the last four years and raised $19,000 in this year's effort. The fundraiser involved volunteers rocking in rocking chairs at Dierbergs locations throughout Chesterfield and the St. Louis metro area.

Rubin presented an over-sized check to the backstoppers and was recognized for her contribution at a Chesterfield City Council meeting Nov. 19. Backstoppers Executive Director Chief Ron Battelle was on hand to accept the donation and praised Rubin.
