Police Blotter: Pet Owner Cited for Dog Attack

Check the crime and other incidents reported by the Chesterfield Police Department from May 22-25.

The following arrest information was supplied by the Chesterfield Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction. All addresses given are generic. 

May 22

Larceny (more than $500), 17000 Hillcrest Ridge Dr. - An unknown subject entered the victim's vehicle and took a computer, two cell phones, clothing and office files.

Larceny, 16000 Chesterfield Farms Dr. - An unknown subject entered the victim's unlocked vehicle but did not take anything.

Ex-parte violation, 1900 Squires Way Ct. - A 53-year-old female violated the conditions of a court order of protection by showing up at her ex-husband's residence.

Ex-parte violation, 14000 Water Ridge Ct. - A 42-year-old female violated the conditions of a court order of protection by calling the victim.

Property damage, 300 N. Woods Mill Rd. - An unknown subject keyed the victim's vehicle.

Shoplifting, 100 THF Blvd. - A 19-year-old male concealed three blue-ray discs and left a store without paying.

Shoplifting, 100 Chesterfield Mall - A 62-year-old female concealed clothing and left a store without paying.

Fake ID, 15000 Olive Blvd. - A 17-year-old female attempted to use a fake ID top purchase alcohol.

Property damage, 200 Woodcliffe Place Dr. - An unknown subject threw spaghetti sauce on patio chairs causing a stain.

Dog ordinance violation - 700 Coalport Dr. - A 25-year-old male was cited for failure to control his dog after it attacked another dog and caused moderate injuries.

The owner of the injured pet, Debra Poger, contradicted the police's account of the incident and told Patch that the her toy poodle suffered "extremely severe" injuries and almost died as a result of the attack. Poger said the animal was in the hospital for more than week. 

May 24

Larceny, 14000 Parliament Dr. - An unknown subject took the victim's social security card, birth certificate and other personal papers from a residence.

Shoplifting, 16000 Clarkson Rd. - Unknown subjects grabbed clothing and ran out of a store.

Dog bite, 1500 Timberlake Manor Pkwy. - A 72-year-old male was cited for failure to control his dog after it bit another dog and the pet's owner.

May 25

Larceny, 100 La Gorce Dr. - An unknown subject entered the victim's unlocked vehicle and took a GPS device.

Harassment, 1300 Cherry Glen Ct. - An unknown subject keeps making unwanted phone calls to the victim.

Shoplifting, 40 THF Blvd. - An unknown subject concealed DVDs and baby items and left a store without paying.
