Police Blotter: Stolen iPod Discovered on Craigslist

The Chesterfield Police blotter provides information on reported incidents from June 13 to June 18.

The following information was supplied by the Chesterfield Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

June 13

  • Someone used a victim's credit card information for online purchases. The incident was reported in the 14000 block of Tienda Drive.
  • Between April 13 and June 12, more than $14,000 in jewelry went missing while the victim was staying in a nursing home. The incident was reported on the 15000 block of Olive Boulevard.
  • Someone pulled a park bench out of the ground in the 2000 block of Parasol Drive between June 11 and June 13.

June 14

  • A 67-year-old man struck the victim on the wrist after a road rage confrontation in the 100 block of St. Luke's Center Drive.
  • Overnight, a GPS unit and a charger were taken from an unlocked vehicle in the 20 block of Picardy Hill Drive.
  • Someone took a coin purse from the victim's vehicle while it was being washed in the 15000 block of Olive Boulevard.

June 16

  • Overnight, two GPS units, a guitar, football helmet, camera and radio were taken from an unlocked car in the 14000 block of Rainy Lake Drive. The stolen items are estimated to cost more than $500.
  • A 14-year-old girl and a 15-year-old girl took clothing from a store in Chesterfield Mall.
  • Three 17-year-old boys were found with alcohol and fake identification near the intersection of Chesterfield Airport and Long roads.

June 17

  • Someone was making unwanted and threatening phone calls to a business in the 14000 block of N Outer 40 Road.
  • A 36-year-old man and 36-year-old woman took more than $500 in merchandise from a store in the 100 block of THF Boulevard.
  • A 45-year-old man took clothing from a store in Chesterfield Mall.
  • A 19-year-old woman took merchandise from a store in the 100 block of THF Boulevard.
  • A 35-year-old woman took clothing from a store in Chesterfield Mall.

June 18
A purse containing cash, perfume, a camera and makeup was taken from a home in the 15000 Golden Rain Drive. The victim was sleeping at a friend's house at the time of the theft, which is estimated to be more than $500.

May 30
A 27-year-old man pumped gasoline at a station in the 14000 block of Clayton Road but had no money to pay. He promised to return, but never did.

June 4
A man reported his iPod was taken from his car. He found it on Craigslist, confronted the seller and got it back. The incident was reported in the 1600 block of Westmeade Drive.

June 9
A 46-year-old woman was seen on camera taking cash out of a register from a business in the 100 block of Long Road.

June 10
A watch was taken from an unlocked vehicle in the 1600 block of Wilson Avenue.

June 11
Someone took a wallet that was left on the store counter at a store in Chesterfield Mall.
