Police Blotter: String of Car Thefts Hit Chesterfield Valley

Three vehicles in separate locations in the Chesterfield Valley area were broken into on Nov. 19.

The following information was supplied by the Chesterfield Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Nov. 19

Larceny, auto – An unknown subject entered an unlocked vehicle in the 50 block of River Bend Court and took a cell phone, change and pocket knife.

Larceny, auto – An unknown subject entered an unlocked vehicle in the 500 block of Eagle Manor Lane and took a GPS unit, purse and iPod.

Curfew violation – A 16-year-old male and 15-year-old female were out after curfew in the 17000 block of Wild Horse Creek Road.

Larceny, residence – An unknown subject took money from the victim’s safe inside his residence in the 14000 block of Pocono Circle. Chesterfield Police believe the theft was done by a family member with access to the safe.

Shoplifting – Unknown subjects grabbed clothing and then ran out of a store in Chesterfield Mall.

Nov. 18

Assault – A 29-year-old male put the victim in a headlock after an argument, causing minor injuries. The incident occurred in McBride and Son Center Drive.

Assault – A 32-year-old male with schizophrenia held a victim down in a chair, but did not cause any injuries. The incident occurred in the 16000 block of Meadview Street and he was conveyed to a hospital for evaluation.

Nov. 17

Shoplifting – Unknown subjects concealed alcohol and left a store in the 1400 block of Olive Boulevard without paying.

Felony larceny, auto – An unknown subject broke the door handle on a vehicle in the 100 block of Chesterfield Towne Center and took a purse containing credit cards, cash and gift cards valued at more than $500.

Felony larceny, auto – An unknown subject entered an unlocked vehicle in the 100 block of Public Works Drive and took more than $500 in stereo equipment.

Felony larceny, auto – An unknown subject entered an unlocked vehicle in the 17000 block of Edison and took an iPod and headphones valued at more than $500.

Nov. 16

Assault – A 31-year-old male struck the victim in the face after an argument over alcohol use in the 14000 block of Timberway Court. He did not cause any injuries.
