Police Nab DWI Driver Who Strikes Several Cars Near Marquette

Police said no one was injured, although there was an incident involving several cars that were struck.

A reader asked Chesterfield Patch about a disturbance Monday evening near Marquette High School. He tweeted about a "police chase that ended in front of Marquette" and said "the guy almost ran over a cop at Wilson, then smashed 2 cars on Clarkson before the cop ripped him out."

Patch contacted Chesterfield police. Officer Mike Ryffel responded: "We definitely did not have a chase. I believe what your reader saw was the end result of a DWI investigation. We had a DWI driver strike a few cars on Clarkson last night.Β  There were no injuries and the driver was taken into custody without incident."
