Police Say Elderly Woman Fondled In Chesterfield Nursing Home

A Ballwin area man was charged with two counts of deviate sexual assault, one in Ellisville and another in Chesterfield.

A West County man is accused of sexually touching two nursing home residents in Ellisville and Chesterfield.

Walter Javier Martinez, 44, of the 400 block of Johanna Place Drive near Ballwin, was charged Aug. 1 with two counts of deviate sexual assault.

Ellisville Police said Martinez fondled an elderly client while bathing her at Bethesda Meadow nursing home at 322 Old State Road in Ellisville. In a news release on Tuesday, police said a second woman was sexually touched at a Sunrise Assisted Living in Chesterfield.

Sgt. Nancy Walker, a spokesperson for Ellisville Police, said Martinez did not work for Bethesda Meadow but was employed by an outside medical care provider.

Martinez posted a $5,000, 10 percent of a $50,000 bond, and was released Friday from St. Louis County jail.
