School Break-In Nets Gatorade and Candy for Suspected Thief

The burglary occurred at Ascension Catholic School in Chesterfield.

Usually when people break into schools, it's teenagers who are part of some wacky sitcom plot to alter their permanent record, but sometimes they are just after Gatorade and candy.Β

The Chesterfield Police Department reported a case of commercial burglary earlier this week involving an unknown suspect who did just that.

According to the department's weekly blotter, the individual pried open a window screen at Ascension Catholic School sometime late on Dec. 2 or early on Dec. 3 and took several food items, which police later said were Gatorade and candy.Β
