Gun, Camera Equipment Stolen from Visitor's Vehicle

Chesterfield Police reported that a man staying overnight at the Drury Hotel had clothing, camera equipment, an iPod and a firearm stolen from his vehicle.

An overnight visitor to Chesterfield’s Drury Hotel on June 8 woke up the next day likely wishing he had been more discreet with the valuables left locked in his car.

Chesterfield Police reported that a suitcase containing clothing, camera equipment, an iPod and a firearm were taken from the victim’s vehicle that night. The doors were locked, but that did not deter the thief, who damaged them and gained access to the car’s interior.

The total estimated value of the items exceeded $500. Chesterfield Police Mike Ryffel used the incident to offer a warning.
