Teen Stole Handguns From His Own Home, Police Say

Police said he stole two handguns between Oct. 29 and Nov. 17.

A 19-year-old Chesterfield man faces criminal charges for stealing a pair of handguns from his home sometime between Oct. 29 and Nov. 17.

David Wells, of the 1800 block of Braumton Court in Chesterfield, was charged Sunday with two counts of stealing a firearm, a class C felony.

St. Louis County prosecutors said Wells stole a .41 cal Magnum and 9 mm handguns from his Chesterfield home.

Wells was released from St. Louis County jail Sunday after posting 10 percent of a $20,000 bond.
