Thief Attempts to Steal Bedding Materials, Power Washer from Chesterfield Walmart

The suspect was caught by security personnel after pushing a cart loaded with the lifted items out the front doors.

The Walmart in Chesterfield is a frequent target for shoplifters, but not usually those in search of a new bedroom set.

However, on Jan. 7, police reported that an unknown suspect took mattress toppers, a bedding set and a power washer from the retailer and attempted to leave the store without paying.

The alleged thief loaded the materials into a cart and then tried to push it past registers and out the front door. The individual was caught by security personnel outside the store’s entrance.Β
