Thief Ransacks Chesterfield Apartment

The stolen items include a laptop, camera and cash, and the victim believes the thief may have been an acquaintance.

Chesterfield police are reporting that a thief ransacked an apartment in the city last month, clearing out everything from a laptop to clothing and cash.

The residents of the apartment on 16000 Westboro Circle Dr. were not home on the night of June 24 when the police said the unknown suspect pried open the screen of an unlocked window.

Once inside, the thief thoroughly pilfered the place, taking a laptop, an iPod, clothing, a camera, cash and jewelry.

All of the items were sitting in plain sight, according to Police, and the victim believes an acquaintance might be behind the theft. Β Β
