Thief Swipes Fundraising Charity Jar from Gas Station

Turns out there isn't any honor among thieves, after all.

Detectives are reviewing security camera footage from a Chesterfield gas station in an effort to catch the person who snatched a charity donation jar from the business earlier this week.

The jar was located at the BP Station on Long Road in Chesterfield Valley and was being used to raise money for a local family, according to police.

The theft occurred at around 11 p.m. on July 28. Police said the amount of cash in the jar was unknown, but it wasn't believed to be very much.

The gas station's manager declined to comment or provide further details about the incident.
