Top Five Chesterfield Crime Stories for November

Chesterfield Patch put together a list of the most clicked crime stories for the month of November.

5) Chesterfield Police Bust Adult for Allowing Underage Party

"A Chesterfield homeowner was cited for a liquor violation Nov. 2 for allowing a party where underage individuals had access to alcohol and marijuana. 

"When they arrived, officers found seven underage individuals in possession of alcohol and marijuana, according to Chesterfield Police Officer Mike Ryffel. The punishment associated with the citation will be determined by the courts, Ryffel said."

4) Fox2: Stealing Spree Puts Chesterfield Man on Metro's Most Wanted

"In Metro’s Most Wanted, the Chesterfield police are hot on the trail of a guy doing his Christmas shopping on someone else’s dime, and trying to get lucky as well.

"It was sometime overnight on October 22nd, that police say this guy broke into a woman’s car and stole everything he could get his hands on.  The stuff he got is worth about $550.  But to add insult to injury, he also took the victim’s credit cards and went to a mobile station.  Apparently he wasn’t taking all those cameras into account at every gas station in America." 

3) Police Pursuit Ends With Crash Along Highway 40 Near Chesterfield

"Highway 40 was completely backed up in both directions Friday afternoon after a police pursuit that began in Lake St. Louis ended in Town and Country, just east of Chesterfield, when the suspect vehicle rolled over along the highway.

"According to Town and Country Police Captain Gary Hoelzer, it began with a pursuit by Lake St. Louis police who were chasing a stolen car wanted in connection to organized retail thefts."

2) Neighbor Threatens Neighbor Over Leaves Ranked into His Yard

"Two neighbors exchanged heated words over some errantly raked leaves with one individual, a 51-year-old male, issuing verbal threats at a home in the 14000 block of Los Padres Court last week. 

"The incident occurred Nov. 4 and was the latest spat among the individuals, who Chesterfield Police said have not liked each other for years. According to police, one neighbor become unhappy that leaves had allegedly been swept onto his property." 

1) Police Seeking Suspect in Armed Burglary of Chesterfield Home

"Chesterfield police are seeking a suspect in a burglary of a Chesterfield residence Monday night who confonted the home's owners with an edge weapon, tied them up and then escaped in their vehicle. 

"The burglary occurred at around 6:30 p.m., when a couple returned to their home on Old Belle Monte Road to find an unknown subject in their residence, according to a press release from the Chesterfield Police Department. He was armed with what was described as an 'unknown type edged weapon.'"
