Do You Worry About Driving Farther Than the Grocery?

Tune up driving skills with an AARP Older Driver Safety class in Chesterfield—no tests.

Chesterfield Police announced this week a cooperative effort with American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) to provide the AARP Older Driver Safety Program course.

The four-hour course is taught in a single morning session and there are no tests. It reviews the rules of the road with an emphasis on defensive driving practices.

Cost for AARP members is $12, non-members $14.

Graduates of the course may be eligible for discounts with their car insurance companies. Verify this with your own individual insurance carrier.

The next AARP course will be Wed., April 11, 9 a.m.-1 p.m., Chesterfield City Hall, 690 Chesterfield Pkwy West, Chesterfield 63017.

A second class will be Sat., April 14, 9 a.m.-1 p.m., same location.

The Saturday course is typically reserved for those individuals with weekday obligations that prevent them from attending on a Wednesday.
