Two Chainsaws Stolen from Back of Pickup Truck

The theft took place overnight along Kehrs Mill Road several blocks south of its intersection with Long Road.

A thief filched two chainsaws left overnight in a pickup truck on a Chesterfield street last week.

According to police, the tools were sitting unsecured in the bed of the truck in the 1300 block of Kehrs Mill Rd. on the night of May 25 when they were taken. The victim had been working on a property nearby.

The value of the two items is estimated to be $500. Power tools are often a popular target for thieves, and Chesterfield Police Officer Mike Ryffel said it's likely they will simply be reused.
