Padlocks broken a second time on an electronic road sign at Clarkson and Kehr's Mill roads was likely a try at manipulating the sign's message, but vandals were stymied in the attempt this time.
S to read "Nazi Zombies! Run!!!" Chesterfield Police said Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) officials have blocked on-site access to the computer in the sign.
Instead, MoDOT now controls the sign messages remotely, police said. However, someone did cut the padlocks off the sign for a second time, between June 18-22, police said.
There are no suspects in either case, police said.
The previous "Nazi Zombies" message referred to a popular electronic game, police said.
The electronic sign warns drivers that Kehr's Mill Road is closed at Wildhorse Creek Road while construction is underway on the intersection.
