Vehicle Used To Flee in Armed Burglary Recovered

The suspect took the car after tying up its owners in their home Monday night.

The stolen car used as a getaway vehicle in an armed burglary of a Chesterfield home last night has been recovered. 

Chesterfield Police reported at 7:15 a.m. this morning that they had found the vehicle. It will be returned to the victims after it has been processed by police. 

The burglary occurred at around 6:30 p.m., when a couple returned to their home on Old Belle Monte Road to find an unknown subject in their residence, according to a press release from the Chesterfield Police Department.

He was armed with what was described as an "unknown type edged weapon." The subject then tied the couple up and fled using their vehicle. 

The subject was described as being 25-40 years of age, 5-feet-11-inches tall and approximately 200-220 pounds. He was wearing a black ski mask, dark clothing and silver or light gray tennis shoes.
