Verbal Arguments Behind Four Assault Cases in Chesterfield Last Week

Tempers were flaring in the area over issues ranging from cell phones to cancelled trips.

Tempers were flaring across Chesterfield last week after police reported four cases of assault that started out as verbal arguments.

The arguments ranged over issues from cell phones to cancelled trips, but none of the cases involved any serious injuries. Details on the incidents were reported in the Chesterfield Police Department’s weekly crime log.

  • On May 4, a 44-year-old female slapped another individual in the face in the 15000 block of Ardmore Creek Drive. The physical blow followed an argument over an apartment.
  • A 45-year-old female and a 52-year-old male assaulted each other on May 5 after a dispute concerning a cell phone. The incident occurred in the 1100 block of Marcus Aurelius Walk.
  • A third incident on May 4 concerned an argument over money and a cancelled trip that occurred in 1200 block of White Road. In that case, a 29-year-old male struck his ex-girlfriend in the head.
  • Lastly, on May 5, a 17-year-old male struck his girlfriend in the face after an argument. Police did not specify the nature of their disagreement, but the assault occurred in the 1700 block of Black Birch Dr.Β
