Monarch Fire Protection District representatives hope to reach residents with handouts on fire safety by hosting free family movie nights through the summer.
The first of its kind for the district, the event will take place at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the district's headquarters at 13725 Olive Blvd. in Chesterfield.
Residents are encouraged to arrive early at 7 p.m. to make sure they get a seat and received some complimentary popcorn and juice boxes. The district is hoping to make it a regular event throughout the summer.
