Chesterfield Council Members, Mayor Running for Re-Election

All five incumbents up for election are running to keep their seats.

Four of seats on the Chesterfield City Council along with the mayor position will be up for election in April and the incumbents have all said they will seek re-election.

The city council is divided into two representatives from four wards, each of whom is elected to a two-year term. One seat from each word is up for grabs in April.

Councilmembers Matt Segal (Ward I), Derek Grier (Ward II), Randy Logan (Ward III) and Bob Nation (Ward IV) have all said they will seek another term in office.

Chesterfield's mayor serves for four years. Current Mayor Bruce Geiger was elected two years ago when former Mayor John Nations stepped down to become head of Metro. Geiger has also said he will file for re-election.

The filing date for April's municipal and school elections begans Dec. 11 and runs to Jan. 15, 2013. Sign up for the free Chesterfield Patch newsletter for updates as possible challengers enter the race, as well as news on other local elections.
