City Council Preview: Local Organizations Receiving Contracts for Public Arts Services.

This preview takes a look at some of the item's the Chesterfield City Council will discuss at its 7 p.m. meeting.

The Chesterfield City Council will meet tonight at 7 p.m. at Chesterfield City Hall at 690 W. Chesterfield Parkway. Here's a preview of some the items on the council's agenda, which can be viewed here.

  • The council will hold first and second readings of a bill to adjust the boundaries of a property located in the Wildhorse-Schaeffer Subdivision. According to planning documents, the purpose of the change is to accommodate a future roadway dedication while maintaining access.
  • City administrator Michael Herring will present reports on three contracts with local arts institutions that provide public art and art services. The contracts are with Chesterfield Arts, Stages St. Louis and the St. Louis Civic Orchestra and spell out what kinds of activities they will be hosting throughout the year and the amount of financial support they will receive from the city.
  • Mayor Bruce Geiger will talk about the 2013 Art Feast, which is  set for Feb. 2 at the Kemp Auto Museum in Chesterfield Valley. The annual gala serves as an anniversary dinner and fundraiser for Chesterfield Arts.
