Shoppers at other stores in Chesterfield Valley already pay 8.3 percent with an extra tax for a special transportation district (TDD).

The other outlet mall is proposed by developers T-O Ventures, and so far developers have not publically called for a special taxing district.

The smaller of the two malls, it would be located on the north side of Highway 40/64 at Boones Crossing, on a narrow strip of property between the exit and Hardee's Iceplex.

The so-called "premium" or larger of the two malls would be on 190 acres located just at the bridge going over the Missouri River, in Chesterfield Valley, on the south side of Highway 40/64.

Thursday's two city meetings will examine details of the proposed plans, site plans, and other specifics.
