Controversial Schnucks Project Has Workers On Site

Drippy day finds work still proceeding.

Work progresses at the site of a so-called boutique-style Schnucks Market under construction at Clarkson and Kehrs Mills roads in the northwest corner of the city of Ballwin, at the Chesterfield border.

The 41,000-square-foot project was approved June 2009 by Ballwin city officials but was challenged in court by neighbors of the formerly residential lot.

The zoning change was allowed to stand in a decision late December by St. Louis County Circuit Court.
