Improvements to Wildhorse Creek Intersection Completed

St. Louis County is taking a lot of pride in the new intersection of Kehrs Mill and Wildhorse Creek roads in Chesterfield, officially unveiling the completion of the $8.3 million project at a ceremony last week.

The upgrades are designed to improve sight vision and traffic flow around the heavily traveled intersection, which sees around 32,000 drivers per day.

The work also included a new bridge, new signals and a new sidewalk and the completion of the long-running project is likely a welcome relief to many of the area's residents.

The intersection had been under construction since the spring of 2012. The county road department said that contractor Gershenson Construction finished the project on time.
