Chesterfield Public School Is Lovin' the Rally Squirrel

Rockwood's 2nd-graders learning about perseverance in the face of doubt, through the Cardinals.

Here's what Rockwood School District's Chesterfield Elementary School counselor described:

"Students and staff are cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals with the help of Rally, Rally the Chesterfield rally squirrel. 

During the week of Oct. 12, Rally, Rally visited classrooms along with Debbie Pregler, school counselor.

“In conversations with the students, I often heard myself telling them how the Cardinals kept on trying even when others didn’t believe in them,” Pregler said.

“Rally, Rally seemed like a natural way to have some fun at school and show that even the Cardinals embody one of the character traits we emphasize to succeed— perseverance and effort.”

In addition to visiting classrooms, Rally,Rally has been busy greeting students and staff as they arrive at school and he has also made an appearance on the morning video announcements.

According to Pregler, “Rally, Rally has found his place at Chesterfield Elementary, and he will always be known for cheering for the Cardinals and never giving up."
