Parkway Central Middle Loses Staff to Lindbergh District

Assistant principal leaves for promotion.

Parkway School District's Jana Reiter said she is looking forward to the challenge of taking the helm at one of Lindbergh's elementary schools.

Reiter leaves Parkway West Middle School where she is assistant principal, to become principal at in the award-winning Lindbergh School District.

The Lindbergh school board voted unanimously to hire Reiter, and others, during a board meeting Tuesday night at the Lindbergh Early Childhood Education Center.

Board President Vic Lenz welcomed Reiter on behalf of the board as one of the newest members of the "Lindbergh family" and predicted her success with the district for many years to come.

District Superintendent Jim Simpson echoed Lenz and other board members' optimism, describing Reiter and others as “very talented leaders (who) are great matches for their buildings, and we know they will continue the strong tradition of educational excellence that these Top Ten Missouri schools are known for.”

Reiter will be stepping into the shoes of Long Principal Brian McKenney, who moves up into Lindbergh district administration.

Reiter has worn many hats since entering the education field in 2008, including teacher, administrator, professional development leader and isntructional coach for other educators.

“I am ecstatic about joining the Lindbergh family, which has no qualms about putting student achievement first,” Reiter said.

“Lindbergh has a reputation of excellence in education, and I cannot wait to be part of that momentum as we continue the success Lindbergh has experienced,” Reiter said.
