60 Minutes to Live Fit Event

The 2011 Parkway Family Fitness Day is being held Sunday, May 1st at Parkway West High School (Ballwin).  The event is being co-hosted by the Parkway Health/PE Department and Shape Up U.S.  The executive director of Shape Up U.S. is Parkway Hall-of-Famer, Jyl Steinback.  She is also dubbed "America's Healthiest Mom." 

Our event emcee will be Tim Tialdo.  Tim is a native of the St. Louis area and a 9-year veteran of the television business.  His stops have included Access Hollywood, two NBC affiliates in West Virginia and Springfield, Missouri as an anchor and reporter.  In addition, he was a feature reporter and host at KMOV channel 4 in St. Louis.  His is also a model, commericial actor, and former Natural bodybuilder.  Click here for more about Tim Tialdo.

This year's theme will be "60 Minutes to Live Fit."  The set up includes a 5K Run, Family Fun Run, Live Fit Challenges, live music, physical education showcases, healthy food taste testing, and much, much more.  The event will once again feature many of the favorites from previous years - Eric James (Hip Hop Artist), Jeff the Juggler, Louie the Bluey (St. Louis Blues mascot), Fredbird, and several inflatables.

11:30 -- Opening Ceremonies
12:00 -- 5K Run (Click here to register)
1:00 -- Family Fun Run
12:00 - 4:00 pm -- All Exhibits & Activities Open
 4:00 pm -- Closing Ceremonies (Activities Close)
