Faust Historic Village Open House

Spanning a period from 1840 to 1900, the Historic Village represents a cross-section of architectural styles and building materials as varied as the population of St. Louis County in the 19th century. The historic homes in the Village will be open for free tours on select weekends this summer.  Knowledgeable guides in period dress will be available to answer questions about the structures, as well as the heritage gardens that are lovingly attended to by dedicated volunteers. Nearly every plant was commonly available in the 1800s and served a useful purpose. The homes vary from a modest log cabin and brick cottage built by German immigrants to larger and more sophisticated 2-story homes, built by established landowners. They are partially furnished appropriate to the period. One of three barns contains a blacksmith shop that is in use on occasional weekends.

Free tours are offered from 1:00 - 5:00 p.m.
