Restorative Yoga for Body & Mind

No previous yoga experience required!

Join us for an evening practice intended to help you relieve fatigue and stress, promote well-being, and bring healing balance into your life through a combination of Thai Restorative Yoga and Yoga Nidra. Restorative yoga uses props and blankets to modify traditional poses, and these supportive postures are generally held for 4-5 minutes each, opening the body to deep relaxation, releasing tension and stored-up toxins, benefiting both the body and mind. Yoga Nidra is sometimes called Yogic Sleep, but is actually a wakeful state of deep introversion, achieved through relaxing the body, harmonizing the mind, and planting an intention to reach deep relaxation. This very special practice will be led by Steve Retzlaff, who combines his yoga training with his credentials as a Level Two Thai Yoga Massage Therapist to help his students reap maximum benefits from their yoga practices, specifically in the areas of feeling relaxation of body, mind, and spirit.
