As the 2013 Senior PGA Championship gets underway this week, Chesterfield drivers may be impacted by road closures and detours as they make their way around West County.

As previously reported by Patch, the Senior PGA Championship takes place at Bellerive Country Club in Town and Country May 21 - 26. Ladue Road will be closed from Mason Road to Highway 141 during the tournament. Ladue Road will be closed during the week of the Event from the intersection of Mason Road to the Highway 141 except for those cars and shuttle buses bearing the appropriate Senior PGA Championship hang-tag identification.

Approved vehicles, Metro buses, U.S. Postal Service vehicles and school buses will be allowed to travel west of Mason Road on Ladue Road.  The same vehicles plus those with the appropriate Senior PGA Championship hang-tag will be allowed to travel East on Ladue Road from Hwy. 141.

Road Closing - Mason Road -

Mason Road will be closed from Ladue Road to West Walling Dr. from 6:00 am to 8:00 pm.  Residents from Muirfield and Bellerive Springs Subdivisions should follow the same traffic directions given to them for the days of the Event Week.

Only vehicles with proper hang-tags, school buses, Metro buses, U.S. Postal Service vehicles, and emergency vehicles will be allowed to travel within this area.

Route for Spectators -

The route for public access to the Senior PGA Championship will be to park at the Verizon Amphitheater located in Maryland Heights.  There will be shuttle buses that will bring the spectators from Verizon Amphitheater to the event.  The shuttle buses will follow Mo. Hwy. 141 South to East bound Ladue Road (Rt. AB).  The shuttle buses will drop off spectators at Kirk of the Hills Church directly across from Bellerive CC on Ladue Road.

Spectators that arrive in cabs or are dropped off will need to respond to the parking lot of The Elks Lodge on Ladue Road in Creve Coeur.  A shuttle bus will then transport them to the event.  Those spectators will need to take the shuttle back to the Elks Lodge when leaving and catch a cab from there.

NO PARKING SIGNS

All subdivision streets near Bellerive Country Club will have “NO PARKING” signs posted, if requested by the trustees of those subdivisions, to prevent spectator parking.
