Beatles Music Fans Faced 'LOT FULL' at Free Chesterfield Concert

Band "Abbey Road Warriors" have got down the harmonies and riffs of the Fab Four; look like Baby Boomers.

Fans of Beatles music were forced to bushwhack their ways across the natural terrain of Chesterfield's Faust Park Tuesday night to a free concert, when overflow parking lots filled up by start time.

The Beatles-only music performed by Abbey Road Warriors proved a draw for apparent Baby Boomers.

Faust Park concert-goers found themselves parking on both sides of Olive Boulevard as County Park Rangers guarded the "LOT FULL" entrance.

The 4-member band played only Beatles tunes and blasted concert-goers with a rocking setup of their own speakers. The combo is drums, keyboard, bass guitar, and guitar.

Frank Goessler sat in on piccolo trumpet with Abbey Road Warrior for the song Penny Lane. Goessler said he plays regularly —a group that played the first Faust Park free concert this season.

The Beatles shot to international fame in the 1960s performing on three guitars and a drum set.

There were plenty of young kids for the balloon and magic performer during intermission. The weather cooperated with a slight cooling from the past two weeks of 100-degree-plus heat.

Not much dancing at all Tuesday among the Baby Boomer generation of Beatles fans, but there was lots of laid-back singing along with the oh-so-familiar tunes.
